Amsterdam 750th anniversary 20-22 June 2025 | On Saturday 21 June, Amsterdam will celebrate its 750th anniversary with a big party on the car-free motorway A10. This special event brings music, theatre, sports and more – but will also affect traffic in and around the city. From Friday 20 June 9 PM to Sunday 22 June 3 PM the A10 Ring Road (West, South and East) will be largely closed, as will parts of the A2 and A4 motorways, and various streets and bridges in the city. This may cause more than an hour of extra travel time, including to/from Schiphol Airport. Advice: wherever possible, travel by public transport and plan your route well in advance.
