Are you coming to Amsterdam to visit a concert? Then there is a big chance you need to be at the Ziggo Dome.
The concert hall in Amsterdam-Zuidoost (south east), next to the football stadium Amsterdam Arena (home of Ajax), has opened only a few years ago (since June 2012), but is already one of the most popular places for national and international artists to give their big shows in The Netherlands.
Many fans have been able to enjoy concerts by Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Pearl Jam, Sting and Madonna, but could also have visited different comedians, like Kevin Hart, and shows like Peter Pan and Walking with Dinosaurs.

The Ziggo Dome seats 17.000 people and is renowned for its excellent acoustics and thousands of led lights. And the many bars, spacious wardrobe and large restrooms; all very important if you don’t want to miss anything from the supporting act, headliner and after party.

The accessibility of the Ziggo Dome is almost just as important as the experience during the concert. Situated in the Bijlmer neighbourhood, the concert hall is easy to reach by public transport. The train stops at station Bijlmer Arena, which is at 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. When you go by metro, you can stop at station Bijlmer Arena or station Strandvliet.
Of course you can also go by car, there are several parking garages around the Arena Boulevard, but be sure to leave in time, because they are often traffic jams when there are concerts.

Due to the great accessibility of the Ziggo Dome, the Amsterdam City Hotels are an ideal place to stay before and after the concert. From every one of our hotels you can reach the concert hall by metro and train easily, and if you’re due a bit of exercise, rent a bicycle from the reception and cycle to your favourite singer or band.
